Brits Feast on up to 7000 calories on Christmas Day !
According to a survey, reported in the Daily Mail, the average Briton has consumed their entire recommended daily calorie intake by 2.08pm on Christmas Day, before they even start tucking into lunch.
People eat an estimated 7,000 calories throughout the day –three times the amount of energy needed in a 24 hour period.
The study found that more than a third of women would like to lose half to one-and-a-half stone ahead of the festive season but instead, the average person will gain 6lbs between Christmas Eve and News Year’s Day.
Christmas is always a key time when people will naturally think about their waist line. This is mostly due to the parties and extra social commitments. But sometimes it’s good to let your hair down and enjoy time spent with friends and family. If this means a third portion on your plate and an extra glass of mulled wine then go for it! Its Christmas!
I always stick to the 80-20 rule, where I eat as organic and fresh as possible, but 20% of my time will be spent eating as I wish. When I say I love my food, I’m known as the ‘Human Dyson’ amongst friends, so for me to be happy with my weight and the way I look, I choose to workout in the gym, as well as teaching my body combat classes part time. This keeps me at a weight I’m really happy with and can continue to eat my own body weight in pies and chocolates! (only at the weekends)
Christmas is only once a year, so why not enjoy it to the full, without the worry of putting on weight or generally feeling dehydrated or bloated. Over the next few weeks, during the run up to the big day I will be posting a few simple diet and fitness tips to help you step into 2014 feeling fabulous.
I’ll be working right up until the big day so if you wanted to treat yourself to my AHA Facial Treatment thats still on offer, (it wont make you loose pounds) but its a wonderful choice of treatment that will leave you skin smoother, brighter and softer. Please feel free to contact me anytime if you have any questions or wish to book a free consultation to discuss treatments.
Look forward to hearing from you
